MEMORIES OF MORRISON. Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Accordion player Luke O'Malley (1976) notes that New York fiddler and accordion player John McGrath (1900–1955) named the tune, "because, he said, 'Morrison didn't know (the name of) it." Morrison was nicknamed "The Professor" for his teaching and knowledge of Irish music, and a tune he didn't know the title of would thus be memorable.
