MENZIES SALUTE, THE. AKA and see "Salute to the Chief of Menzies." Scottish, Pipe Pibroch. Composed following the Jacobite rising of 1715. The earliest published setting of the tune is in MacKay’s Ancient Piobaireachd (pp. 51-52), appearing as: "Failte Mheinearaich. Menzies’ Salute. Composed by Macintyre."
