MILK POT, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The country dance tune and directions were also printed in Skillern's Compleat Collection of Two Hundred & Four Reels...Country Dances (1780).

The first strain is similar to the first strain of "Miss Hussey's Reel." Compare the first strain also with two other tunes in Straight and Skillern's c. 1775 volume, "Pretty Milliner (The)" and "City Assembly (The)."
