MILLER O' HIRN'S WIFE, THE. Scottish, Strathpsey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "The Miller o' Hirn's Wife" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer and Scottish dancing master wikipedia:James_Scott_Skinner (1843-1927). The University of Aberdeen's Scott Skinner site notes that Skinner remarked that this strathspey was been composed on the same model as "Miller o' Hirn (The)," and indeed the rhythms of the two melodies are very close.
