MINNIE LOONEY'S SLIDE. AKA and see "'''Evening I Spent with Mick (The)," "Pádraig O'Keeffe’s Slide (9)." Irish, Slide (12/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune has been attributed to accordion player Terry "Cuz" Teahan (1905-1989) by editor Paul Deloughery (1980), although it may have been composed by another. Teahan was originally from Glountane, south County Kerry, but spent many decades in Chicago, where he worked for the Illinois Central and where he was an integral part of the city's Irish music scene.
