MISS BISHOP'S WALTZ. English, Waltz (3/8 time). C Major ('A' and 'B' parts) & F Major ('C' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. "Miss Bishop's Waltz" was composed by "Weippert". The Weippert family, headed by sion Johann Erhardt Weippert (1766-1823), a harpist and composer originally from Germany, were central figures in London musical circles in the late 18th and early 19th century, extending to subsequent generations as music publishers, musicians, bandleaders and dancing masters.
