MISS BOWLBEY'S ALLEMAND. AKA - "Miss Borolbey's Allemand." AKA and see "Fitzwilliam (The)." English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was for some time unique to London publishers Samuel, Ann and Peter Thompson's Compleat Collection, vol. 5 (1788). However, it was later entered into the 1850 music manuscript collection of shoemaker and fiddler William Winters (West Bagborough, Somerset, southwest England) with the nearly identical title "Miss Borolbey's Allemand."
