MISS CLEMENTINA IRVINE'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by the "Dunkeld Paganini," Duncan McKercher. The tune honors Miss Clementina Ann Stewart Irvine (1807-1839), daughter of Rev. Alexander Irvine and Janet Stewart. Her father was Church of Scotland minister for Little Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland, where Clementina was born. She became the wife of Dr. Charles MacDiarmid.
