MISS DALRYMPLE OF FORDEL'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Miss Dalrymple was one of the daughters of Col. William Dalrymple of Fordel (1747-1794). One daughter, Caroline Dalrymple, composed at least one published tune, the slow air "Sir George Ramsay's Lament" from John Watlen's Celebrated Circus Tunes (Edinburgh, 1791, p. 29).
