MISS ELIZABETH MYLNE'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Edinburgh musician, teacher and music publisher William Shepherd (d. 1812). The subject is perhaps one of the family of Mylne of Mylnefield, Perth and Kinross, a family "related to the Master Masons to the King in the 17th century" according to the Gazatteer for Scotland [1].
