MISS ELLIOT'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Edinburgh musician, teacher and music publisher William Shepherd (d. 1812). The tune preceding this one in Shepherd's collection is "Miss Charlotte Elliot’s Reel." and presumably they were to be played as a pair.
