MISS ESTER OSWALD OF AUCHINCRUIVE’S NEW STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. Composed by Biorgaphy:Robert Mackintosh. The title perhaps refers to Mary-Hester Oswald, daughter of Richard Alexander Oswald and Lucy Johnson Oswald (“that incomparable beauty” of Robert Burns’ passionate verse). Mary-Hester married in 1818.
