MISS ISOBEL CLARK'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Jig (6/8 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB."Miss Isobel Clark's Favorite" is a 6/8 jig or country dance tune from the sole publication of fiddler-composer John Clark, who dedicated his volume to the Musical Society of Perth. Unfortunately, there is no further information to be had on Clark (John Glen and David Baptie are silent), although presumably Isobel was a daughter or niece as it has pride of place as the first tune in the collection.
