MISS JANE MACINNES--DANDALEITH [2]. Scottish, Strathspey. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833) and named in honor of his grand-daughter who lived at Dandaleith Farm near Rothes. She married Dr. Grigor of Nairn (Moyra Cowie, The Life and Times of William Marshall, 1999). See note for Miss Jane MacInnes—Dandaleith (1).
