MISS JEAN STEWART [1]. Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of this tune in print in William Marshall's 1781 collection (p. 2); it is not "Miss Jane Stewart," and did not appear in Marshall's collected and posthumous works.
