Composed by the Cape Breton musician biography:Gordon F. MacQuarrie, who, in 1940, published the Cape Breton Collection of Scottish Melodies, the first published collection of Cape Breton fiddling. MacQuarrie also wrote "Miss Margaret MacDougall," presumably for the same person.
