MISS MACDOUGALL OF WALLASTON. Canadian, Reel. Canada; Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island. D Mixolydian (‘A’ part) & D Dorian (‘B’ part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’B. Composed by the Cape Breton musician Gordon F. MacQuarrie, who, in 1940, published the Cape Breton Collection of Scottish Melodies, the first published collection of Cape Breton fiddling. MacQuarrie also wrote "Miss Margaret MacDougall," presumably for the same person.
