"Miss MacKenzie of Applecross" was composed by Inverness/Edinburgh bandleader, musician, composer and dancing master Joseph Lowe and is a companion reel to his strathspey "Mrs. MacKenzie of Applecross (1)" (see annotations for that tune for more on Applecross). It was printed by Glasgow publisher James S. Kerr under the mistaken title "Mrs. MacKenzie of Applecross (2)."
