MISS MACMURDO'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Slow Strathspey. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Perhaps Jean or Philadelphia (Phillis) McMurdo, celebrated in several of poet Robert Burns’ songs. They were daughters of the poet’s friend, John McMurdo of Drumlanrig, factor of the Duke of Queensberry.
