MISS PEACHY’S DELIGHT. AKA and see "Gigg to it." English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody and dance instructions were first published in John Hinton’s periodical Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure (London, 1755). Under the title "Gigg to it," the tune was entered into the 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist John Rook, of Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria.
