MISS POULTNEY’S DELIGHT. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody is unique to Charles and Samuel Thompson’s Compleat Collection, vol. 3 (London, 1773), although dance instructions and the tune were earlier published in Thompson’s Twenty-Four Country Dances for the Year 1768.
