MISS W. DALRYMPLE'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Country Dance or Jig (6/8 time). E Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCD. The tune is attributed to "Miss C.D.", who was perhaps a sister to 'W. Dalrymple'. 'Miss C.D.' also composed "Miss Watson's Favorite" in Watlen's 1791 collection. See note for "annotation:Oxford Castle" for more on this person whom I believe to be Christian Dalrymple.
