MISS ZOFFANY WEIPPERT WALTZ. English, Waltz (3/8 time). B Flat Major ('A' and 'B' parts) & E Flat Major ('C' part). AABBCC. Zoffany Weippert was a member of theWeippert family, whose several members were center stage in London's musical scene of the late 18th and 19th centuries. Not only were they musicians, but generations of the Weippert family were music publishers, dancing masters and band leaders. Johann Erhardt Weippert (1766-1821) managed the Assembly Rooms at Margate for some years, Margate being a fashionable resort at that time. Johann was the German born son of musicians who emigrated to England with his family while a young man.
