MOLLOY'S FAVOURITE [1]. AKA and see "Farewell to Leitrim," "Lawson's Favorite." Irish, Reel. D Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A double tonic tune. Famed County Sligo/New York fiddler Micheal Coleman recorded the tune in 1921 as "Lawson's Favorite," the second in his set entitled "Reidy Johnson's." The second strain of "Molloy's Favourite (1)" is cognate with the first strain of Montreal fiddler Jospeh Allard's "Reel St-Pierre."
