MOLLOY'S FAVOURITE [3] (Ríl Uí Mhaolmhuaidh). AKA - "Malloy's Favorite," "Molloy's," "Molloy's Reel," "Mulloy's Reel." AKA and see "Irish Girl (6) (The)." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune was recorded in New York in 1928 by button accordion player Peter J. Conlon as "Irish Girl (6) (The)," and by fiddler Paddy Killoran as "Malloy's Favorite" in 1936. It is sometimes attributed to Killoran, although the earlier recording under the alternate title suggests it may not be his composition. The tune is frequently played in a set with "Maude Miller (1)" and "Lady Ann Montgomery."
