MOM AND POP. American, Reel. USA, Pennsylvania. This is perhaps the title of the first tune of "York County (Pa.) Tunes," played by the West Orrtanna String Band and learned from an elderly fiddler from the region named Bill Gipe (York County). "Gipe hosted a weekly music session and square dance in his converted chicken shed near Red Line, gatherings known to the locals as the 'Chicken-house sessions'" [Ray Allen, Gone to the Country : The New Lost City Ramblers and the Folk Music Revival, 2010, p. 211].
