MOPPING NELLY [2]. English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A "double-tonic" tune in 'G', that sounds to me to have piping origins. Source John Rook was known to have played the smallpipes in addition to several other instruments. The tune may be a very distanced version of William Vickers' "Mopping Nelly (1)."
