MORTGAGE BURN, THE. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed at the end of the 20th century by pianist Gordon MacLean, who grew up at the Gillis Point Lighthouse near Washabuck, Cape Breton.
