MOUNT BATTOCK. Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Abderdeenshire fiddler-composer Alexander Walker b. 1819. Mount Battock is a 2552 foot high peak in the southern Grampians range, located on the border between Angus and Aberdeenshire to the north of Glen Esk.
