MOUNTAIN REEL [1]. Old-Time, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A rather typical version of the widespread (and international) "Miss McLeod's Reel (1)" or "Hop High Ladies" tune family. Charlie Poole [1] and the North Carolina Ramblers recorded the tune in 1926 as "Mountain Reel" (Posey Rorer on fiddle, Poole on banjo, Roy Harvey on guitar).
