MR. COLIN CAMPBELL'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. The melody was composed by Edinburgh musician Daniel McLaren, a native of Taymouth, Perthshire, and appears in his collection of 1794. Little else is known of McLaren. See also the companion piece "Mr. Colin Campbell's Reel."
