MR. JOHN WALKER. Scottish, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer Alexander Walker (b. 1819) in honor of Mr. John Walker, a contrabassist in the Castle Newe Band. Alexander Walker was a gardener at Castle Newe for the Baronet and the leader of the band.
