MRS. BURN CALLANDER'S REEL. Scottish, Reel (cut time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Perthshire fiddler-composer Duncan McKercher, the "Dunkeld Paganini." The title perhaps refers to Jacquetta Hull (1802-1864), the daughter of Col. J. T. Hull (Marpool Hall, Devon), who married in May, 1822, William Burn-Callander (d. 1854), 8th of Westertown and 4th Preston Hall. Jacquetta bore three sons and a daughter and died in May, 1864.
