"Mrs. Campbell of Balinaby's Reel" was composed by Islay fiddler-composer Alexander Mackay (born 1775) for Isabella Hunter, spouse of Dugald Campbell owner of the small farming estate of Ballinaby, on the west coast of the Hebridean island of Islay.
