MRS. HASWALL'S FAVOURITE. Scottish, Slow Strathspey. B Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Scottish dancing master and musician Duncan MacIntyre, who also composed "Mrs. Haswell, Inveraray's Strathspey" in her honor. She is perhaps the wife of architect George Haswell of Inverary, who died in 1784. He was the Duke of Argyll's chief wright at Inveraray Cstle from 1750 onwards and was responsble for the carpentry work at the Castle. He designed and built various churches in Argyll.
