Researcher Lisa Shields identifies "Mrs. McDonald" as a variant of "Flora MacDonald." "Mrs. McDonald" is contained in Book 4 of the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper wikipedia:James_Goodman_(musicologist). Francis O'Neill printed the tune as "Storyteller (The)" in his Music of Ireland (1903).
