MRS. MASSEY. Irish. A composition of blind Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) on the occasion of his visit in 1720 to Charles and Grace Massey at Doomass, Co. Clare. Charles Massey was Dean of Limerick, and Grace Massey was born Grace Dillon, daughter of Sir Charles Dillon of County Meath. Unfortunately the music has been lost, or the title has become detached from the tune (which may lie with the untitled pieces that have been attributed to O'Carolan).
