MRS. NORMAN MACKEIGAN. Canadian, Reel. Canada; Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Mrs. Norman MacKeigan" was composed around 1960 by Cape Breton fiddler and composer Dan R. MacDonald (1911-1976), and is one of his more popular compositions, fairly frequently recorded. The person of the title was the spouse of instrument repairman Norman MacKeigan.
