MRS. OLIVER MORRIS' REEL. AKA - "Pride of Quebec (The)," "Suzanna Perry's Tune." Canadian, Reel (cut time). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABBB. "Mrs. Oliver Morris' Reel" was in the repertory of fiddler Erskine Morris (1913-1997), originally from Douglastown, eastern Gaspé, Québec. Erskine later (i.e. 1978) called it by the name "Pride of Quebec." Paul Fackler also finds a version of the tune in the repertory of Newfoundland fiddler Rufus Guinchard (1899-1990) under the title "Suzanna Perry's Tune."
