MULLINAX. Old-Time. USA, Ga. "Mullinax" is dentified as a Georgia tune in an article in the Atlanta Journal, 2/19/1914, on the fiddlers' contest going on at the time in the city [Charles Wolfe, The Devil's Box, 6/1/80]. The contest was won that year by Fiddlin’ John Carson ($50.00 first prize), Wiley B. “Shorty” Harper (second prize $35.00), and J. O. Hudson (third prize, $25.00).
