NAPPER [2]. Old-time, Breakdown. USA, Missouri. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Homer E. Dillard, father of the family group The Dillards. Homer himself came from a musical family--his father John W. Dillard was a fiddler. This tune was composed when he was a teenager, on the harmonica, according to Beisswenger and McCann, and has similarities to "Take Me Back to Tulsa."
