NATCHEZ. American, Reel. A Mixolydian or A Mixolydian ('A' part) & A Dorian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by fiddler Mike Carson of the group The Dixie Travelers, formed in 1954 (Mac Martin, Mike Carson, fiddle, and Billy Bryant, banjo). The first strain is similar to Wade Ward's "Nitches over the Hill."
