NEVER OUT OF HUMOUR. AKA and see "Lawland Lads wi' Highland Kilts." Scottish, Strathspey. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of this tune in Alexander McGlashan's 1786 collection. The tune has unusual six-bar strains. As "Lawland Lads wi' Highland Kilts" the melody appears in Robert Ross's 1780 collection (p. 18).
