NEW CAMPTOWN RACES. Bluegrass, Breakdown. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Composed by mandolinist Frank Wakefield about 1953, although first recorded in 1957 released on a 45 RPM by the Wayside label. The tune has become a standard of the bluegrass instrumental repertory.
