NEW CARROLL COUNTY BLUES #2. Old-Time, Blues Breakdown. The blues-breakdown "suite" was recorded in three parts in Atlanta, Ga., July 30, 1934, by the duo Narmour and Smith. Fiddler Willie T. Narmour and guitarist Shellie W. Smith were attempting to piggyback on their highly successful "Carroll County Blues" (recorded in Atlanta, March, 1929).
