The dance tune and instructions ("Longways for as many as will...") appear in London publishers Walsh & Randall's The New Country Dancing Master...Second Book (1710), Walsh & Hare's Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1719), and John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master, 4th edition (1728).
