NEW HOUSE WAS BUILT, THE. AKA and see "Wes Muir's Tune." Old-Time, Breakdown. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title comes from Hollis Shumaker, La Plata, Adair County, north-central Missouri. Another Missouri fiddler, Nile Wilson (1912-2008), Linn County, called the reel "Wes Muir's Tune" from a contemporary of his father who lived in the New Boston area.
