NEW YEAR'S DAY [2] (Bhliadhn' ur). Scottish, Strathspey. C Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "...Sung by the editor's father" (Fraser). The melody is listed by Stewart-Robertson in the "A Minor" section of "The Athole Collection," though both he and Fraser clearly harmonize it in the relative major.
