NICOLSON STREET HORNPIPE. Scottish, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by violinist biography:W.B. Laybourn, editor of a series of pamphlets that were collected and published in Edinburgh in the first half of the 1880's in three books as Köhler's Violin Repository. Laybourn was an Englishman who had lived and worked in Newcastle-on-Tyne, before removing to Edinburgh.

Nicolson Street [1] is a main thoroughfare of Old Town, Edinburgh.
