NIGER'S QUADRILLE NO. 2. English, Quadrille Part (2/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. The tune, from American blackface minstrel repertory, was entered as the second figure of a quadrille set in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter (1774-1861), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England.
