NIGHEAN DONN NAN GOBHAR. AKA and see "Maid that Tends the Goats (The), "Up among yon Clifty Rocks." Scottish, Air (whole time). Scotland, Argyll. The tune appears in the 1784 Gaelic song collection of Reverend Patrick MacDonald, a native of the Reay country, minister of the Parish of Kilmore, near Oban, sometimes called "The Gesto Collection."
